NANR is a vibrant community that offers Russian alumni of Dutch universities the unique opportunity to develop professionally, stay in touch with fellow alumni and participate in a wide variety of activities.
As a NANR member you will:
- Develop yourself professionally at lectures and workshops led by inspiring Dutch business people and scientists
- Enjoy numerous social events, keep in contact with fellow alumni, meet stimulating new people and keep in touch with Dutch culture – check out a Sinterklaas celebration, Elfstedentocht ice-skating or a King’s Day borrel
- Find potential business partners or make yourself known to Dutch recruiters in Russia via the Alumni gallery
- Learn about career opportunities in Holland
- Share your experiences with others through the Study in Holland Ambassador programme
- Help people in need by participating in NANR charity events
The NANR structure
Alumni Officer is responsible for the organisation and implementation of NANR activities, updating the alumni database and market research. If you have an idea for a new activity, want to organise an event or have questions about your membership, please feel free to contact the Alumni Officer.
Anna Agaltsova has been the Alumni Officer for NANR since January 2015. She completed the Master’s programme in Social Research at the VU University Amsterdam in 2013. Previously she worked for Nuffic Neso Russia as a Student Counsellor and part-time market researcher (2009-2013) and at the British Council in Russia as an Educational Project Coordinator (2014). She is also an affiliate researcher at the Institute for the Academic Study of Eastern Christianity (VU Amsterdam).
Olga Zotova has been working for Nuffic Neso as Alumni Officer since 2010. She graduated from Moscow State University as a specialist in Dutch language and European literature. While studying Olga did an exchange program at the University of Amsterdam, faculty of Humanities. At the moment she is on maternity leave.
NANR Alumni Boards
The NANR Alumni Boards are made up of groups of proactive alumni that contribute to the development of NANR activities. The Board members rotate every two years. The current set of boards began their terms in January 2015. Board members undergo annual training with Dutch professionals. Currently, there are two active boards in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Aleksandra Sakovich (Moscow) is an alumna of Tilburg university.
Anastasia Abolina (Moscow) has been working as head of strategic development for Moscow Innovation Development Centre since 2014. She graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). In 2013 she obtained a master degree in innovation management from Utrecht University. From 2005, she worked in various international organizations in the field of strategic consultancy (Lighthouse Russia BV) and marketing of high education (Nuffic Neso Russia).
Tatiana Popova (St. Petersburg) is an alumna of HU University of Applied Sciences.
Maria Strous (St. Petersburg) joined an Alumni Board in Moscow in January, 2013. She participated as a part of Marine group in Presidents’ program in 2008 and executed project in Corus B.V. (currently Tata Steel B.V.). Since 2014 she moved to St. Petersburg and continued member of Alumni Board in St. Petersburg. Currently she works in 3PL logistics provider “Wim Bosman” originally found in Netherlands.
Valentina Ubushaeva (St. Petersburg)
Elena Yusupova (St. Petersburg) is an alumna of Netherlands-Russian Management training programme.
Advisory Board consists of representatives from the Dutch business community that advise NANR on development strategy and activities. Additionally, every year they provide professional training to NANR board members.
