Due to the bad weather NANR will not participate in Moscow Bike Parade. Please share the pictures if you are still attending individually!
It has become a memorable tradition among alumni – an occasion when we can relive our time in the Netherlands, meet one another and spend the day biking around Moscow. Let’s do it again this year! We will bike through the city and top the day off with a nice picnic in a park.
We suggest two alternatives - to meet at the general start and take the whole route, or to meet at Nuffic Neso Russia office and join the parade half way. In the end we will all meet at Krasnaya Presnya park, to have a nice picnic together.
|Full route||Short route|
|Meeting point||Ostankinsky proezd||Nuffic Neso Russia office|
|Start time||12:00||approx. 13:45|
|Route length||30 km||12 km|
We decided to have an alternative start, so it will be easier for those of us who are not used to pedaling long distances. Bring your kids – they are very welcome! For the description of the general meeting point, please check the organiser’s official website.
Outfit: Dress in orange!
Bikes: You can bring your own bike or use Velobike (reduced price for this day -> only 450 RUB from 9am until 5pm + 500 RUB for seasonal abonnement) or any of the other convenient bike rental services that have popped up around Moscow in recent years. Please, be aware that you can only take folding bikes on the metro.
Picnic: We will finish the day at Krasnaya Presnya park to have some nice drinks and snacks together. So if you lost your friends and acquaintances on the way, look for some orange T-shirts and balloons in the park.
