Study in Holland Ambassadors promote the Netherlands as attractive country to prospective international students. They provide students with tips and tricks as they embark on their Dutch adventure.
You probably remember how difficult it was in the beginning. There were many questions and seemingly few answers: What is so special about studying in the Netherlands? How to choose a good university? How does it feel to study in an international classroom? And then you made your choice and went on your exciting journey and studied in the Netherlands.
What was it like to go to a strange country, settle into your adopted home and meet new people? Perhaps you can recall that first search for a bike and advice from everyone to get a proper metal chain (which hopefully you followed!)? And what about preparing a project with your fellow students from different countries, cultures and backgrounds?
As a true veteran of the Dutch study abroad experience you can help others to prepare for their exciting upcoming journey. You can share your impressions about learning in one of the world’s most dynamic educational systems.
Together with the general Holland Alumni Network (HAN), NANR conducts the Study in Holland (SIH) Ambassadors programme. SIH Ambassadors are alumni of Dutch institutions of higher education and universities of applied sciences that promote Dutch education in their home country. They do this by:
You can promote Study in Holland (SIH) and share your experiences by organising seminars at Russian universities. An SIH seminar is a 30-40 minute presentation where you can discuss the Dutch educational system, application process and your educational and living experience in the Netherlands. You choose how many and which universities you would like to visit and NANR and Neso Russia will help you design a presentation.
Neso Russia participates at educational fairs in spring (February and March) and autumn (October). NANR usually invites 1-2 alumni to help us for a few hours at the booth. Fairs take place during the weekend. We send you the schedule of educational fairs we will participate in this year and you choose the dates that are most convenient for you.
Pre-departure briefings are special events organised in summer in Moscow and St. Petersburg. They aim to prepare students already enrolled in Dutch universities for their big move to the Netherlands. You can participate in either the Alumni Talk Show or give a presentation.
SIH Ambassadors in Russia are fully supported by NANR and Nuffic Neso Russia. Those who join this programme receive:
- special training on Study in Holland promotion and presentation skills
- all necessary promotional materials.
